please tell about that compiler and event simulations
please define the tools that are used for differnet types of simulations with a small example.

it is infinite as VLSI .nowadays they are doing more & more to achieve perfection. It starts with architecture modeling then it goes on & on till there is a chip and by this time it would need thousands of simulation at each and every stage for becoming the best chip.so cannot say that. typical are fun. ,archi . ,timing ., after & b4 netlisting (full) ,after place & route ,with BIST(BISR) etc
basically simulation is of two types.... compiler driven and event driven
