fsm doubt

hi, which fsm is better either mealy or moore. what are the advges for mealy fsm?

hi venkatesh, thnx 4 ur answer. still i have a doubt..why one clock cycle dealy in moore fsm and also why additional hardware required.. thnx

cannot say unless u know the type of application in which u r going to use a FSM. for noise free and synchronous ckts moore is employes but at the expense of additional hardware and delay of one clock cycle.But remember the op is clean and noiseless(free from glitches )
