latency time/ small signal BJTs

hi everybody can anyone explain the following : for BJTs at small signals we have resistances Re and R(pi). Do we have any such resistances for BJTS at DC? in case of mosfets( both p and n) how does taking the output from the drain differ from taking the output from the source. I mean what differences can crop up? what is the latency time in combinational circuits? thanks in advance Dhiraj

resistance of Bjt is there and that is controlled by the base current in bjt and voltage in mosfets/fets. in saturation it operates as current source so we measure output resistance( measure of current that can be pushed in extra(low resistance means more current). this question cannot be answeres easily as there are more factors like vt drop substrate bias etc.appropriate conditions have to be supplied.
