t flip flop ambiguity

can anyone clarify how a t flip flop works. dont thick this is a trivial question u can find in any basic digital book. for ur reference the book by fletcher and others say that the output of a t flip flop toggles when the t input is asserted while the book by wakerly says the output toggles at every positive going edge of the t input of the flop and this t input is acting as the clock for it. please tell which is correct. i think both are correct but i need an explanation

Tff(positive edge)- at clock=0->1 and T=1 will make the op toggled else the same state.
