how to fix a hold

to over come hold violation consider hold time in operating frequency calculation.

hi, first go from the meaning of the "hold violation" which describes that the data is contaminated b4 the time ,which is needed for the data to influence the system.there are many techiniques used but primarily is increasing the delay between the elements with the help of less speed devices or with deliberate isertion of buffers. skewing can be done but not preferred since it does affect other portions of the circuitry.
