XOR gate implimentation using CMOS


hi 2 all plz suggest me how 2 impliment EXOR gate using CMOS in VLSI. also post the logical diagram of it. ashish

Hi, using complementary cmos u need 12 dev.but by using tx gates as jay said u can realize it using 2+2+2+2=8 dev. !A---Tx(B to nmos and !b to pmos in tx gate)----| op A---Tx(!B to nmos and b to pmos in tx gate)-----|
I think using Transmission gate we can realize it.. in that case it'll require minimum no of transistors.....
hai, two ways to implement x -or gate first through : not(a)b + not(b) a it requires 12 cmos transistors but through only nand gates it requires 4 nand gates it requires 16 mos transistors
