i'm doing a square root operation using vhdl and implement on FPGA.. i use a 3x3 keypad... i have the coding for all registers , datapath , and control path.. i need to modify my control path n data path so it will satisfy the keypad giving signal to register D and (as in put to my algorthm) and process it. i will use 1010 (* button)to call the square root operation. help me... my school projct... i'll email the coding if it helps.

the operation is like this...for example 25.
i punch in 2, then i punch in 5. and i punch in (*) to square root it to 5. help me..
