help me with the verilog program

i want to write a verilog program that can control the light. the program should work like this, the light is suppose to be in "ON" state for a period(eg 60 sec)and will be turn off after that 60 sec, but the clock will be reset back to 0 and count again for another 60 sec when someone interrupt the switch in between the "ON" state period.i really dont have any idea how to reset the clock and count back another 60 sec. please, i really need the program and i will be very glad if someone help me.
