as we known that in various chips their are various functional units which have their own unique address .so in order to communicate with those , it becomes necessary to first identify them at programming level.as an hardware approach,it is just an guess of that location .so addressing mode (in general for any digital device
may be)technically termed as specifying the desired mode of operational task.
